RIDE ACCESSIBILITY

Dollywood is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for our guests. Our Ride Accessibility Center (RAC) is available to serve guests who have an accessibility need and would like to enter an attraction through the accessibility entrance. A Dollywood host at the RAC will provide you with as much detailed information about our rider requirements to help you make well-informed decisions to safely, comfortably and conveniently experience our rides. Additionally, we will provide you with a Boarding Pass tailored specifically for you to include rides you will be able to enjoy.

We encourage you to visit the Ride Accessibility Center as soon as you arrive. The center is conveniently located inside the park next to the Dollywood Emporium.

In addition, our Dollywood Accessibility and Rider Requirement Guide, Park Map Guide and Entertainment Schedule are helpful resources to assist in planning your day prior to visiting us. You may download the Park Accessibility Guide below. The Park Guide Map is available inside the park turnstiles and the day’s Entertainment Schedule is also available.

 

CALMING ROOM

For guests who may experience sensory overload during their Dollywood visit, we created a Calming Room to provide a quiet, relaxing environment where the guest and his/her family can feel safe and at ease.

The room is private and comes equipped with sensory items. To learn more before your visit, please call 1-800-Dollywood (1-800-365-5996) and ask to speak to an attendant at our Ride Accessibility Center. When you visit the park, stop by the Ride Accessibility Center adjacent to the Dollywood Emporium and a Ride Accessibility Host will be able to assist you.

 

VISION IMPAIRMENT

Due to the mountainous park terrain, we recommend our guests who are legally blind or have vision impairment enjoy Dollywood with a companion. In order for us to best assist you with your visit, please call 1-800-Dollywood (1-800-365-5996) with a minimum 14-day advance notice.

 

HEARING IMPAIRMENT

To aid guests with hearing impairment, we offer Assistive Listening Systems at all of our Dollywood theaters. Please see a Theater Usher or Sound Technician for assistance.

American Sign Language interpreters are available with a minimum 14-day advance notice. Please call 1-800-Dollywood (1-800-365-5996) to request this service.

Dollywood’s regular season show scripts are available for use during the show and must be returned at the end of the performance. Scripts also are available for the Dollywood Express and the Birds of Prey show. Please see an Usher or Sound Technician for assistance.

Due to the continuously changing show content, scripts are not provided for the Kingdom Heirs, The Tones, The Smoky Mountain String Band, The Wild Roots Band or other specialty acts.

 

SERVICE ANIMALS

Trained service animals are welcome at Dollywood. Tennessee ADA regulations do not recognize comfort animals, emotional support animals or therapy animals, and these animals are not permitted in our park. Service animals must remain on a harness or leash no longer than four feet, remain under the control of their handler at all times and be housebroken. Service animals must be harnessed, leashed or tethered while in public places unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the person’s disability prevents use of these devices. In that case, the person must use voice, signal or other effective means to maintain control of the animal.

Service animals are permitted throughout the park though animals are not allowed on rides (trams, the Dollywood Express and the chariot seat location on the Village Carousel are the exceptions). Owners are responsible for cleaning and disposing of animal waste. There are animal relief areas indicated on the park map.

Under the ADA, service animals are limited to dogs and miniature horses that have been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of the individual with a disability. Comfort animals, emotional support animals, or therapy animals are not service animals according to ADA regulations and these animals are not permitted in the park.

Tennessee State Pool Regulations do not allow animals, including service animals, in public swimming venues and splash pads- including water features and fountains- or closer than 4 ft to the water on wet decks. The ADA does not override public health code that prohibit dogs in swimming pools.

 

ELECTRONIC CONVENIENCE VEHICLE AND WHEELCHAIR RENTALS

Dollywood offers Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECV) and wheelchairs for daily rentals. Twenty percent of our ECV fleet may be reserved with pre-payment. The rest of our fleet is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The operator must be at least 16 years of age. Operators, 16-17 years of age, must have a parent or legal guardian at least 18 years of age to sign the rental agreement. The maximum weight is 400 pounds. The ECV is a one-person vehicle only.

*NOTE: To reserve an ECV for your visit, a 48-hour advance purchase is required. Due to limited inventory, you must call 1-800-DOLLYWOOD by 5 p.m. the day prior to your reserved date to cancel your reservation and be eligible for a refund. ECV operator must be at least 16 years old. Operators 16 and 17 years old must have a parent or legal guardian at least 18 years old to sign the rental agreement. The maximum weight is 400 pounds. The ECV is a one-person vehicle only.

All wheelchairs are available to rent on a first-come, first-serve basis.

From full-service restaurants to grab-and-go items, Dollywood takes great pride in our menus. When guests with food allergies and special diets visit, we seek to offer dining options to accommodate that need.
