What You Need to Know About 2023 Season Passholder Day

Is March 10 circled on your calendar? Dollywood officially opens on March 11 this year, but some people will be able to enjoy the park a day early. Here’s how:

Who Can Visit March 10?

It’s known as Passholder Preview Day because that’s just what it is. We invite Dollywood Season Passholders to come get a sneak peak of the park for the 2023 season. We’ll see Silver, Gold and Diamond Passholders as we open the gates on Friday. There will be a few other groups of folks who will be in the mix: Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa guests, invited media members and visitors who are with Gold or Diamond Passholders using their Bring-A-Friend (BAF) tickets. (Please remember, Silver Passholders have blackout dates for their BAF tickets and because Passholder Preview Day is on a Friday, Silver Passholders will not be able to use BAF tickets on this day.)

If you are not in the categories I listed, then you are welcome to buy a Season Pass before March 10 to take part in the fun! If you are a Silver Passholder who wants to use Bring-A-Friend tickets on this day, you can upgrade to Gold at any ticket window.

The park will be open 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. this day. Look for the 2023 Dollywood Season Passholder magnet when you enter—while supplies last!

What is the 2023 Dollywood Media Showcase Golden Event?

Throughout the year, we offer exclusive special opportunities to our Gold and Diamond Season Passholders. This is the first of Dollywood’s 2023 season (though there have been some opportunities for fun at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa already this year… I digress.).

This media showcase is for pre-registered Gold and Diamond Passholders. Registrations are full. Check-in will be open from 8 – 10 a.m. where we will check for valid Gold and Diamond Passes for everyone who is registered for the event. (The only exception will be for pre-registered children who are too young for a Season Pass accompanying a registered Gold or Diamond Passholder.)   

The event will last about 30 minutes where Dolly will share what’s happening in 2023. Don’t worry. We will be sure to share all the excitement. Watch our social channels and this blog for the details!

Again, this showcase is a Golden Event which means it is only for pre-registered Gold and Diamond Season Passholders. Silver and Platinum Passholders, BAF guests and resort guests will not be allowed into the event.

Dolly Will Be Here!

While Dolly is at the park, she has a few meetings and appointments, but assuming the weather cooperates, we’re hopeful we’ll be able to take her on a tour of the park in the DeWitt (antique car) as has become our tradition. Sometimes, she even shows up to sing with some of our performers. You never know where you may see her. So, keep your eyes open!

Will I Get to Experience the I Will Always Love You Celebration on March 10?

Officially, the I Will Always Love You Celebration begins on March 11. That’s because that’s the first official day of the season. But, if you are at Dollywood on March 10, you’ll get to enjoy many of the festive elements of the new celebration. Plan to take advantage of the photo ops and try a sweet treat at Spotlight Bakery that was crafted just for this short occasion. Check the show schedule for any performances that may have an I Will Always Love You flair to them!

This day is designed as an early-access opportunity for our most loyal guests. We consider our Season Passholders to be part of the Dollywood family. See you at the park!
